Almost two years ago Mike had a package stolen from his front porch. The package – a box of coats for his charity Survive the Streets, was taken right before their annual charity event. This galvanized Mike to create a solution so no one has to deal with package theft of personal items like keepsakes, medical supplies, toys or food items in the future.
At the size of a Frisbee, (11 in or 28 cm to be exact) the Package Guard is a Wi-Fi enabled device that is simple to setup in less than 5 minutes. The Package Guard is battery operated and will last up to 6 months before replacing the batteries.
The Package Guard automatically notifies you via email, app notification, or text when each of your packages have been delivered or removed (hopefully not stolen) from your porch and Package Guard can be attached to your porch or an object on your porch.
Place the device where you receive your packages. If applicable, the Package Guard can be fastened to your porch. If a package thief (porch pirate) removes a package or the device before you’ve turned off the alarm, the Package Guard triggers its loud internal alarm.
