Not likely. They could take the Package Guard if it isn’t attached to the porch, but the alarm would sound. You can secure the device to your porch or something on your porch. Secondly, if the device is picked up the alarm will still be activated, with or without packages on top of it.

Yes, the Package Guard was created in Seattle, so of course it is! The Package Guard is tightly sealed, so water will not penetrate the inside of the device.
There is a trap door with screws on the bottom of the device to open to replace the four C batteries.
You can of course turn it off immediately with your phone using the app. But it will turn itself off after 45 seconds, so it won’t annoy your neighbors too long. It is loud (100 decibels) so 45 seconds is long enough. How loud is 100 decibels? see here.
